Colour City Caravan Park, Orange

Click here for park details on My Park List
From Bathurst turn into McLachlan Street and follow to end, (Margaret St), turn left and entry is 250m on right, next to showground. This park is part of the showgrounds and overlooks the main arena. It is not easy to find if you don't know your way around Orange. A railway line runs through the town and there are only a few roads that cross the railway, but once you get into McLachlan head right to the end and away from the town centre, turn left into Margaret and the park is on the right. If you come in on the Northern Distributor from Dubbo turn right into Leeds Parade and you will see it on the left. Ph: 02 6362 7254. Dogs on leash. Length of stay for pets usually 3 days - longer stays at Managers discretion.

This park is a classic example of looking at your site before paying. First attempt was after being informed of a rear door caravan. We were sent to a site with a raised gully trap and table /chair setting sitting in the middle of the site in amongst the permanents. The second attempt was site 26 same comments and also in a demolition area of previous old sites. Orange City council could have some serious HSE issues with broken bricks/exposed trees roots. Exposed bolts in previous old slabs. Exposed raised gulley traps some sitting up 200 mil. All that a side the other areas of the park were up to standard clean/tidy the unpowered area and camp kitchen were in very good order. Cheap washing machines $3. There are nice sites on the top side of park so this reinforced the fact that one must have a look where they are putting you before swiping your card.
